Why This Truck Is Purple

This truck is more than a color. It’s a statement.

Purple isn’t just my favorite color — it represents survival. It stands for

domestic violence awareness, healing, and rising after everything tried to

break me.

For years, I stayed small. I drove cars with dark tint, avoided attention, and

feared being seen — because being seen used to mean being in danger. But this

truck? This is the opposite of hiding.

I wrapped it purple — with the help of a local business — because I refuse

to be silent anymore.

I am a survivor of long-term domestic violence and trauma. I’ve lived through

things people wouldn’t believe — but I’m still here. This truck is a moving

message that survival isn’t the end of the story.

It’s the beginning of being seen.

That’s why the back window holds a QR code — it’s not just for shopping or

clicks. It’s a quiet way to reach others who might be hurting. Because I

remember what it felt like to wonder if anyone understood — to feel invisible

in plain sight.

So if you’ve ever felt unseen, unsafe, or unsure if anyone truly gets what

you’ve been through — this truck is here for that reason too.

If you’re here because you scanned that code, thank you for being curious

enough to care. You matter. And you’re not alone.

If you or someone you know needs help, please contact the National Domestic

Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233 or visit thehotline.org
